Process Mechanics specialising in Plastics and Rubber Technology (Components) use semi-finished items to produce finished parts, tanks and piping systems. These high-end components are deployed primarily in the area of mechanical engineering and the transport, automotive and chemical industry.

At SIMONA, Process Mechanics learn how to operate CNC milling, turning and welding centres. They are also instructed in system programming.

Process Mechanics receive specialist training in how to use state-of-the-art production machinery as well as being taught how to put such equipment and systems into operation.

This multifaceted role also involves welding using various methods. 

What you will need 

A keen interest in technical matters is essential, complemented by a good understanding of mathematics and manual dexterity. 

Requirements

Secondary school education (at a level equivalent to Realschule or Hauptschule – or higher – in Germany), metalworking college
