SIMONA showcases all-embracing solutions for infrastructure and industry applications at IFAT 2020 *

SIMONA AG will be presenting all-embracing solutions for various applications in the field of infrastructure and industry at this year's IFAT Munich, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. As a global system supplier of pipes, fittings and semi-finished parts with highly specialised know-how relating to the customisation of plastic products, SIMONA offers a professional range of newly developed application-based products as well as individual customer support for challenging applications.

Large flange assemblies

For pipes with large dimensions SIMONA offers highly reliable flange assemblies designed for exposure to full pressure loads up to 16 bar in SDR 11 and PN 10 in SDR 17. A high level of corrosion protection against environmental influences is ensured by the PP jacket. The drill holes are designed according to DIN 1092/1.

Shaft with double-containment pipe connections and leakage monitoring

When it comes to the handling of wastewater, especially in sensitive water protection zones requiring significant safety precautions, special requirements for the tightness of the pipe systems have to be observed. SIMONA double-containment pipes in conjunction with shafts and integrated leakage monitoring are to be seen as an end-to-end system of flexible material combinations for maximum safety.

Telescopic shaft

SIMODRAIN® DN 400 telescopic shafts are a flexible solution for shaft applications in traffic route construction that require variable height adjustment. The shafts can be manufactured individually with different adjustment heights to achieve a given level of adjustment. Thus, SIMONA is able to offer a further valuable addition to its extensive SIMODRAIN® product range for traffic route drainage.

SIMONA® SPC protective-jacket pipes in large dimensions

The new generation of SIMONA® SPC RC-Line protective-jacket pipes are manufactured with the help of pioneering production methods and can be supplied with an abrasion-resistant interior layer. What is more, SIMONA has the expertise needed to produce these protective-jacket pipes in up to d 1,000 mm. SIMONA® SPC RC-Line protective-jacket pipes consist of a PE 100 RC inner pipe (DIN 8074/DIN EN 12201) and an additional protective jacket made of highly abrasion-resistant polypropylene. The PP pipe jacket protects the inner pipe against dangerous notches or scratches. SIMONA® SPC RC-Line protectivejacket pipes are certified in accordance with PAS 1075 Type 3.

Cable protection systems for underground power cables

SIMONA offers a comprehensive pipe and sheet system for the long-term protection of underground power cables, the aim being to ensure safe energy and data distribution. In addition to mechanical loads, protection pipes are exposed to high temperatures during operation, which they have to be able to withstand over their entire service life. Thus, in this field of application SIMONA's focus is on power cables up to 380kV.

SIMONA® PA 12-Line pipes and fittings for gas pipelines

SIMONA® PA 12-Line pipes and fittings are to be seen as a safe and economical system for the installation of gas applications. These products can be used in gas pressure applications of up to 16 bar. Due to their high crack and pressure resistance, pipes and fittings made of SIMONA® PA 12 can even be laid safely and efficiently in particularly sensitive areas, e.g. residential areas. They can be installed using both open-trench and trenchless methods. PA 12 pipes and fittings can be connected using conventional joining techniques such as heated-tool butt welding and electrofusion welding to ensure a high tensile strength – for perfectly reliable installation.
