Kirn. The SIMONA Group will be investing in a new production facility and storage area at its manufacturing plant in Ringsheim, Baden-Württemberg. Committed to meeting market requirements for customised fittings, the company plans to build a modern extension to its production plant that will cover an area of 1,500 sq. m. In addition, it will create a roofed storage area of approx. 850 sq. m.

The global plastics processing company produces pipes, fittings and finished parts at its plant in Ringsheim, the emphasis being on applications within the utilities, infrastructure, industrial and rail transport sector. The latest investment will provide a further boost to the site. SIMONA plans to invest around €3 million in the extension project, including equipment. Up to ten new jobs are to be created at the site. At present, SIMONA employs around 170 people at its Ringsheim plant.

Construction work is scheduled to commence in 2016. The new production facility is to be completed in 2017.
