One of the largest eel RAS aquaculture projects in the world: economical and durable

One of the most recent examples of our market leadership in this segment is the supply of products to SIMONA ASIA for a pioneering project involving eel farming conducted with the help of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). By 2024, we will supply more than 2,000 tonnes of PE100 sheets/welding rods from our factory in Jiangmen.

RAS technology allows water savings of around 99.5%. Total area of the farm: 53 hectares. Potential output: 15,000 tonnes of eel/year.

  • Supply of 760 tonnes of SIMONA® PE100 sheets and welding rods for breeding tanks
  • Supply of 150 tonnes of SIMONA® PP-H sheets for ventilation and exit air systems
  • Tank diameter: 3 and 8 m; tank thickness: 6-10 mm
  • 2,100 tonnes of SIMONA® PE100 ex sheets to be supplied by 2024

  • SIMONA® PE100/PP-H sheets with guaranteed properties for long-term use, ensuring reliable and economical processing thanks to their consistently high quality
  • Supply of SIMONA® PP-H materials for aeration and ventilation systems
  • Training relating to the construction of the breeding tanks (with a diameter of up to 8 metres)
