SIMOFUSE® Pipes for Raw Water Piping Systems
Untreated raw water is conveyed safely to a water treatment plant for the production of drinking water, thanks to SIMONA® raw water pipes.
In addition to standard PE 100 RC pipes that are laid by heated-tool butt welding and electrofusion welding in pressure ratings PN 10/16, SIMONA offers SIMOFUSE® pipes for applications in low-pressure sections up to 8 bar.
SIMOFUSE® pipes have a connection technology already integrated. This joining method combines the fast assembly of a push-on connection with the safety of a welded, integral joint obtained by electrofusion welding and combines state-of-the-art welding with compact design.
With the further development of SIMOFUSE® and the release of the connection technology for pressure applications, solutions with pressure pipe systems can also be realized. The requirements for pressure pipes and their connections are described in DIN EN 12201. A test program has been developed on the basis of this standard.
The Staatliche Materialprüfungsanstalt (MPA) Darmstadt (Darmstadt State Materials Testing Institute), as an independent body, has assumed responsibility for third-party monitoring and thus ensures proof of serviceability by means of tests. Based on these extensive tests, the maximum pressure level for the applications was approved.
