Vaccine drive launched in Kirn

Kirn, 24 June 2021. SIMONA was quick off the mark with its efforts to organise in-house vaccinations for the workforce at its head office in Kirn. All staff were given the opportunity to sign up for a jab. All that was missing was the vaccine. Last week, we received the good news: there is enough vaccine to give out all the first doses that are planned.

Dr Michael Wilke and his team from Idar-Oberstein have now vaccinated 83 employees in a vaccination centre set up specifically for the purpose. More vaccinations have already been arranged and will be given shortly. 

Ekasak Khumkhong was the first in line, receiving his much-sought-after jab at 2pm on the dot.

The vaccinations are being organised by the in-house coronavirus task force, which has been planning the campaigns, awareness-raising and other measures to curb the spread of the virus at the company since March 2020.

Vaccinations have also already begun for other SIMONA sites, such as last week for the pipes and fittings plant in Ringsheim, where the town council provided use of the community centre.
