SIMONA showcases complete solutions for pipe rehabilitation at trade fair in Kassel
Products
The company has developed a SIMONA® PP-HM Short-Pipe System tailored specifically to pipeline rehabilitation in confined spaces as well as for use via shaft installations and narrow construction trenches. Thanks to the short lengths (0.42 to 1.90 m) of the pipe sections, these modules can be installed cost-effectively with the help of methods such as TIP lining or pipe bursting – up to a size of DN 1000 calculated on the basis of the existing pipe.
SIMONA® PP-HM Pipe Modules are available in various designs: as a smooth integral socket connection, with an innovative threaded screw connection or with a SIMOFUSE® electrofusion joint. Combining superior levels of rigidity with particularly high impact strength at low temperatures, the jacking pipes are the perfect choice for the long-term rehabilitation of drainage systems. The overall system is complemented by a full range of fittings for the connection of shaft structures and service lines using open-cut or non-trench methods.
The newly developed SIMONA® Internal Saddles have been produced specifically for the trenchless connection between a sewer and PE/PP lining pipes. They are joined by applying the method of top-hat profiles or pressure grouting.
The product range for trenchless sewer rehabilitation also includes the SIMONA® Ovoid Pipe System. These are available either as single pipes with smooth ends or as modules with integrated socket connectors and double lip seals. The extruded SIMONA® PE 100 Ovoid Pipe combines the benefits of customisable pipe lengths and a high pipe-laying rate. Likewise, the new pipe can be engineered to match the existing old pipe or a standard profile can be used. A new robot system and the SIMONA® Internal Saddles developed for this purpose ensure trenchless connection of the sewer and the ovoid pipe. Engineered from PE 100, the new pipe is supplied either in black or grey and can also be used for open-cut installation projects.
The new generation of SIMONA® SPC RC-Line Protective-Jacket Pipes are made by applying pioneering production technology and can be supplied with an abrasion-resistant interior skin if required. Drawing on its engineering capabilities, SIMONA can now manufacture protective-jacket pipes up to d 1,000 mm.
SIMONA® SPC RC-Line Protective-Jacket Pipes consist of a PE 100 RC inner pipe (DIN 8074/DIN EN 12201) and an additional protective jacket made of highly abrasion-resistant polypropylene. The PP pipe jacket protects the inner pipe against dangerous notches or scratches. Therefore, the inner pipe has the full quality of a new pipe even once it has been laid by means of trenchless installation. SIMONA® SPC RC-Line Protective-Jacket Pipes are certified in accordance with PAS 1075 Type 3.
Thanks to its in-house plastics workshop, SIMONA is able to offer customised designs and supply pre-assembled components. This significantly reduces the time needed for on-site assembly.
